Netgear has introduced a new addition to its range of managed security hardware announcing the launch of the new Insight Instant VPN Business Router in the form of the Netgear BR500. Capable of interconnecting up to 3 offices as if they were connected locally regardless of their geographic location.
Equipped with 1 WAN and 4 LAN gigabit Ethernet ports offering users LAN-to-WAN throughput of 924Mbpsm, Remote/Cloud management and monitoring as well as instant, one-step VPN through the mobile app and web portal combined with Firewall security. The instant VPN Router is capable of providing :
– The VPN Business Router hardware status, temperature, port speeds, CPU load, memory utilization
– The VPN connection status – connected/disconnected, number of connected users, method of authentication, current traffic, visited destination from guest portal, sites connected (for site-to-site VPN), volume of data exchanged and timestamp of the connection.
– Firewall rule configuration and update, NAT traversal, port forwarding, FTP
The Netgear Insight Instant VPN Business Router (BR500) is immediately available worldwide both online and from high street retailers priced at $270, €239 or £ 209 depending on your location. Bundles are also available offering 2 units for $520, €449, £ 405 or $719 AUD and will be available later this year.
