Yesterday Apple officially announced CarPlay, the service was previously known as iOS in the car, and Apple also announced partnerships with a range of car manufacturers.
One of those manufacturers was Volvo, and the company has now released a short video which shows how Apple’s CarPlay will work with Volvo cars that support the feature, you can see the video below.
Upcoming Volvo models will integrate the iOS experience in the centre display, giving you seamless access to your favourite Apple functionalities (e.g. iTunes library, iMessage and Apple Maps), as well as selected third-party apps like Spotify – all with full Siri voice control.
Connect your iPhone 5 or later and interact with it on our large 9-inch vertical touch screen, where it becomes an intuitive part of the Volvo experience.
As well as Volvo there are a number of other vehicle manufacturers that have teamed up with Appl to bring CarPlay to their vehicles.
The list of companies includes BMW, Ford, GM, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Hyundai, Peugeot, Citroen, Suzuki, Ford, Honda, Toyota and other auto makers.
