Previously, we heard that Verizon’s Lumia Icon will get the Windows Phone 8.1.1 with Lumia Denim in “early-2015” and it seems the time has finally arrived.
Verizon is rolling out the long-awaited Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 with Lumia Denim for the Lumia Icon. Verizon has been a little slow when it comes to update, and for the discontinued Lumia Icon which didn’t even get Lumia Cyan, it’s definitely a good news for those in possession of the handset.
The latest Windows Phone 8.1.1 with Lumia Denim brings a handful of new features and improvements for the handset, including the digital personal assistant Cortana, Action Center to manage your notifications and connectivity settings, improved Internet Explorer 11, Start screen customization, and more.
As for the Lumia Denim features, it brings a revamped camera app, HDR photos, the ability to capture 4K videos using the handset, and more.
Lumia Icon’s international variant, the Lumia 930, launched in several regions across the globe, and is already running the latest Lumia Denim update which was really a lot earlier than the Big Red.
Anyway, if you’re one of the lucky ones who received the update, what are your thoughts about the new features and improvements introduced with Lumia Denim?
