Verizon Wireless has welcomed a new handset brand to its network with the announcement of the first ZTE handset for its network. The new handset is called the Salute and is a basic feature phone at a low price.
The Salute is a slider design that has a 2.4-inch screen and a 1.3MP camera. The handset is mobile web capable and has all the messaging options a person could need like text and picture messages.
Other features of the device include Bluetooth, a media center with downloadable games and wallpapers, and the handset is VZ Navigator compatible. The new handset is available right now for $19.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new customer agreement.
