When Verizon announced the iPhone 4 on their network, they also announced an unlimited data plan for the iPhone 4, that was available for $30 a month and now it looks like the unlimited data plans may be removed by the summer.
Verizon’s Chief Financial Officer, Fran Shamo recently mentioned at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom conference that the company could shift from unlimited data plans to tiered data plans as early as this summer.
It isn’t clear what Verizon intends to introduce with regards to tiered data plans for the iPhone 4, and no doubt Verizon iPhone 4 customers who signed up for the unlimited plan will be less than happy with this move.
