Not too long ago, the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact made its first appearance on the Sony US website. Unfortunately, it didn’t give out any pricing details, but did confirm that Sony will start selling the compact version of its flagship device in the region soon.
If you are waiting for the handset to land in the US, there’s a good news for you. Sony has started selling the Xperia Z3 Compact in the US, albeit the unlocked version, for $529.99. The handset is available in all four color options: black, white, orange and green, and comes with support for AT&T and T-Mobile’s LTE bands. Unfortunately, the handset is backordered, but it should start shipping in the next few days.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact measures 127.3 x 64.9 x 8.6 mm, and features a 4.6-inch 720p display. There’s a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz with Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. It also features a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB, in case you need more storage.
Other features include a 20.7MP rear camera for photos and videos, a 2.2MP front-facing camera, a 2,600 mAh non-removable battery and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat as its operating system. The handset also comes with IP68 certification making it dust and water resistant.
