Following on from the recent release of the iPhone 4 jialbreaking tool JailbreakMe, the iPhone Dev Team has now released an iPhone 4 unlock that will let you use your iPhone 4 with any mobile carrier, called Ultrasn0w.
The latest version of Ultrasn0w will unlock the iPhone 4 with baseband 01.59 and the iPhone 3G and 3GS with basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 and 05.13.04.
Ultrasn0w will allow users to unlock their iPhone 4 and use it with other carriers than AT&T, you can find out more details over at the iPhone Dev Team website.
After the recent changes in the DMCA, jailbreaking and unlocking your iPhone 4 is no longer illegal, although Apple isn’t very happy about that and have said that jailbreaking or unlocking your iPhone 4 will void its warrant.
