For those of you rocking the Galaxy Note 4 or Galaxy Note Edge tied to U.S. Cellular, there’s a piece of good news for you.
The carrier has started rolling out the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge in the US.
The update is rolling out over-the-air as well as through Samsung Kies desktop software so make sure to keep an eye on your notifications area of the handset.
The latest update brings a handful of new features and improvements for the handset, including the new Material Design which brings fluid animations and simplistic interface as well as several other improvements such as a revamped multitasking interface, improved lock screen notifications, improved security and much more.
The update is large in size so make sure to connect your handset to a WiFi network if you don’t want to choke out your data allowance. Furthermore, the update process is completed in phases so don’t panic if you don’t see the update right away — it takes a few days for the update to reach all devices.
Let us know if you’ve received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for your handset. What improvements can you notice in terms of performance.
