Samsung has already announced that Android 4.4 KitKat will not make its way to the Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) with 1GB of RAM, but that’s not the case with the device which is being used in the US.
Sprint has already released the Android 4.4 KitKat Update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the US, and it seems U.S. Cellular may be next in the list to release the chocolaty update.
The product page for U.S. Cellular Samsung Galaxy S3 lists it as an Android 4.4 KitKat device on its website, which means the handset may get the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update very soon. There’s no word from the carrier about the roll out, but the product listing suggests things might change for the S3 owners soon.
There’s no word if other US carriers will update the Galaxy S3 to the latest operating system, but we’ll find out soon enough. One thing is for sure, it will take a considerable amount of time for the update to roll out for the device — the roll out is still not completed for the Galaxy S4 and Note 2.
We’ll update you as soon as it begins.Filed Under: Android News, Top News
