Not too long ago, Twitter pushed out an update for both Android and iOS, which give users the ability to embed tweets inside tweets.
The update brings a nice features for both operating systems, so instead of a long URL appearing in your tweet, it will now show the linked tweet as it appears.
At first glance, it may look like an exciting feature, and it is, but it may take a few extra taps if you want to make use of this. First you have to copy the URL of the tweet you want to embed on your mobile device, and then paste it in the “Compose” field. Now, you don’t have to add “RT” if you come across anything useful, instead, you can show the tweet in its entirety which looks more neat and elegant.
The change log on the App stores doesn’t mention anything about this feature, but it is present in both Android and iOS apps. It’s not yet present in the web interface, but if it is present on the mobile apps, it shouldn’t be long before it’s introduced. It could be an experimental feature, but I think it’s a nice feature, despite the fact that it requires a few extra actions.
Head over to the Google Play Store or iOS App Store to download the updated Twitter app.
