Respawn has today announced that their third Titanfall update will bring with it a number of new features for PC gamers to enjoy including support for up to 144 frames per second (fps) gameplay.
Enhanced Gameplay Features for PC Users
As well as the increased 144fps for PC users, there will also be custom private map settings allowing gamers to set score and time limits, control the game’s artificial intelligence, as well as being able to modify pilot health, ammo, Titan build times, and more. This level of customization is expected to enhance the gaming experience significantly, providing players with more control over their gameplay environment. For instance, players can now create more challenging scenarios by adjusting the AI difficulty or extend the duration of matches to practice specific strategies.
Moreover, the ability to tweak pilot health and ammo can lead to more balanced and competitive matches, especially in private tournaments or friendly matches among peers. The flexibility in Titan build times also allows for varied gameplay dynamics, making each match unique and tailored to the players’ preferences.
Updates and Tweaks for Xbox One Gamers
Unfortunately for Microsoft Xbox One gamers, there are no new features or enhancements for fps for their version of the new Titanfall game. However, Titanfall players will also now be penalized with a ‘loss’ if they quit a match before the post-game scoreboard appears. This new penalty system aims to discourage players from leaving matches prematurely, ensuring a more consistent and fair gaming experience for all participants.
Other tweaks include adjustments to the damage and area of effect for various weapons and abilities. For example, the Nuclear Eject ability now does more damage against Titans, making it a more strategic option during intense battles. Additionally, shooting enemy mega turrets or evacuation drop-ships now rewards players with Titan Build Time or Titan Core Charge Time. These changes are designed to encourage more aggressive and tactical gameplay, rewarding players for taking risks and engaging in combat.
