If you are concerned about losing your digital photos, videos, data and memories a new distributed-memory storage system aptly named Timebook might be worth more investigation. Watch the promotional video below to learn more about the new technology created to store your data safely, making sure its never “lost or inaccessible”.
The Timebook is an innovative data storage device that uses a decentralised distributed-memory technology to make sure that, whatever happens, the data that you want to keep stored forever will still be there, easily available to you, for as long as you need. “As a family, you can use Timebook to permanently record all your personal and family history, pictures, videos and documents, in a way that is safe, private and unbreachable”, say its developers Global Blue who explained more about the inspiration behind the new storage system.
“In 2014, my USB flash drive got damaged and the online cloud disk that I used broke down. That caused an irretrievable loss of photos of my 5-month-old boy. On that day, I decided to create what our team has in the meantime finally developed: Timebook, a solution that you can rely on to make your memories last forever.”
“Your coming-of-age ceremony, your graduation ceremony, your wedding, your pregnancy, your child’s birth, the special Christmas Eve in which all your family members finally got together, or that unforgettable family vacation… these are memories spanning decades and that will last forever in TIMEBOOK, which means that the videos and pictures that you record of these memories should also be permanent. After all, that’s the kind of memory that you want to visually revisit whenever you want to.”
Visit the company’s Kickstarter campaign to learn more about the storage system which is now available to back via Kickstarter with earlybird pledges available from $390 or roughly £298 for the TimeBook Standard Version. If all goes well and the campaign raises the required $19,000 shipping is expected to start sometime around May 2019.
