A dude named Carl Reese has a Tesla P100D and he enlisted family and friends to try and set a Guinness World record. The record he went for was for the most people stuffed into a Tesla P100D. There really is a world record for everything these days. Luckily for us, the guy live broadcast the event on Facebook and then put it up on YouTube.
The group was able to stuff 19 people inside the P100D before all the room was gone. They even stuffed a kid under the hood to get to the number. I don’t know if the group grabbed the record or not, so far as I know you need an official arbitrator on site to capture a world record.
You can watch the video below and see the people crammed in on top of each other. I hope no one was gassy. Reese also plans to set some sort of motorcycle world record as well.
The Challenge of Setting a World Record
Setting a Guinness World Record is no small feat. It requires meticulous planning, a clear understanding of the rules, and often, an official arbitrator to verify the attempt. Carl Reese and his team had to ensure that every person was fully inside the Tesla P100D, which is no easy task given the car’s standard seating capacity. The Tesla Model S P100D typically seats five adults comfortably, with additional space for two children in rear-facing seats. However, squeezing 19 people into the vehicle required creativity and a bit of discomfort.
The team had to consider the safety and comfort of all participants. They managed to fit people in every conceivable space, including the trunk and even under the hood. This kind of record attempt is not just about breaking a record; it’s also about teamwork, coordination, and a bit of fun. The video shows the camaraderie and excitement of the participants as they work together to achieve their goal.
The Significance of the Tesla P100D
The Tesla Model S P100D is a significant vehicle in the world of electric cars. Known for its impressive range and performance, the P100D can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, making it one of the fastest production cars in the world. It also boasts a range of over 300 miles on a single charge, showcasing the advancements in electric vehicle technology.
By choosing the Tesla P100D for this record attempt, Carl Reese highlighted the versatility and spaciousness of electric vehicles. While the primary focus was on setting a world record, the event also served to promote the capabilities of electric cars. Tesla has been at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution, and events like this help to raise awareness and interest in sustainable transportation options.
Reese’s choice of the Tesla P100D also underscores the growing popularity of electric vehicles. As more people become aware of the environmental benefits and performance capabilities of electric cars, the demand for these vehicles continues to rise. Tesla, in particular, has played a significant role in changing public perception and driving the adoption of electric vehicles.
In conclusion, Carl Reese’s attempt to set a Guinness World Record by stuffing 19 people into a Tesla P100D was a unique and entertaining event. It showcased the creativity and determination of the participants while also highlighting the impressive features of the Tesla Model S P100D. Whether or not the record was officially recognized, the event brought attention to the capabilities of electric vehicles and the fun that can be had with a bit of ingenuity and teamwork. Reese’s future plans to set a motorcycle world record further demonstrate his passion for pushing boundaries and achieving new milestones.
