Last week Tesla made an important announcement, the company decided to make their patents open source, and now there are reports that Tesla and BMW are in talks over Tesla’s supercharger network.
The two companies have apparently been discussing how to promote electric cars and also how to make better use of Tesla’s fast charging supercharger stations.
Elon Musk announced last week that Tesla were making their patents open source in order to speed up the adoption of electric vehicles, their technology could be used by a wide range of manufacturers in the future, as it is now open source.

Tesla has been leading the way with electric vehicles, and has developed technology which allows for electric vehicles to be charged quickly, and their vehicles also come with the longest range that is available in an EV, as well as BMW, a number of other car companies are also interested in the Tesla technology.

It will be interesting to see what happens with electric vehicles over the next few years, and whether Tesla making its patents open source will have a major effect on the adoption of EV’s.
As well as Tesla and BMW, various other car makers are working on new electric vehicles, and it will be interesting to see if they also decide to team up with Tesla on EV’s.
