Previously here on Geeky Gadgets we have featured smart padlocks which can be unlocked using a companion application on your smartphone. Now a unique padlock has been created that can be opened using your fingerprint as recognition.
The TAPP has been created by David Tao based in Ontario, Canada and has taken to the Indiegogo crowdfunding website to raise the $40,000 the project requires to go into production.
With still 18 days left remaining on the campaign, the development team has already raised over $115,000 thanks to over 1110 backers. Watch the video below to learn more about this unique biometric padlock that uses your fingerprint as the key. Its developers explain a little more about its inspiration, features and functionality.
Meet TAPP: a pair of cutting-edge smart fingerprint padlocks that open with your unique fingerprint. Never worry about losing your keys, forgetting your combination code or getting your locks picked again.
When it comes to keeping your stuff safe, you need a lock that is convenient, lightweight, and, of course, secure. TAPP is the only padlock that is smart enough to access without a key, combination code, or smartphone. Never worry about losing your keys, forgetting your combination code or getting your locks picked again. TAPP unlocks with a tap in under one second, using the one thing you always have with you – your unique fingerprint.
