Ever since the most iconic CEOs of the modern era stepped down, the tech world and beyond have been paying their respects to Steve ‘the Man’ Jobs. Taiwanese CGI animation studio Next Media has gone a little further with a biopic equal parts Star Wars, Tron, and Terminator. (Spoiler: Jobs fights Androids!)

If you’re wondering what Next Media is, it’s an animation company that’s become a legend for their awkward, nonsensical, and out of the box interpretations of current events.
While there’s no doubt been a lot of tributes to Jobs, here at Geeky Gadgets we’re really looking forward to getting our clammy hands on his bio come November. It should be a satisfying read even if it’s a shiny PR paean glowing with Steve’s smoldering gaze.
Not to spoil the awesome clip, but it does trace Steve Jobs’ life from childhood (as in LSD youth) until a point in his life we’re not sure of. But hey, he slays Death! Literally.
The Unique Approach of Next Media
Next Media has carved out a niche for itself in the world of animation by taking a unique and often humorous approach to storytelling. Their animations are known for being quirky, sometimes bizarre, and always entertaining. This particular biopic of Steve Jobs is no exception. By blending elements of popular sci-fi franchises like Star Wars, Tron, and Terminator, Next Media has created a fantastical narrative that both honors and parodies the life of the tech icon. The animation studio’s choice to depict Jobs battling Androids is a playful nod to the real-world competition between Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android operating systems.
The video not only highlights key moments from Jobs’ life but also exaggerates them in a way that makes the story more engaging. For instance, Jobs’ early years experimenting with LSD are portrayed with a psychedelic flair, while his later years are depicted with dramatic, almost superhero-like battles. This creative liberty taken by Next Media adds a layer of entertainment that traditional biopics often lack.
Steve Jobs’ Lasting Legacy
Steve Jobs’ impact on the tech industry and the world at large cannot be overstated. As the co-founder of Apple Inc., Jobs was instrumental in the development of groundbreaking products like the iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. His vision for user-friendly technology and sleek design has set a standard that many companies strive to emulate. Beyond his technical contributions, Jobs was also known for his charismatic leadership and ability to inspire those around him.
The upcoming biography, which we at Geeky Gadgets are eagerly anticipating, promises to delve deeper into the life of this enigmatic figure. Written by Walter Isaacson, the biography is expected to provide an in-depth look at Jobs’ personal and professional life, offering readers a comprehensive understanding of the man behind the myth. Whether you’re a die-hard Apple fan or simply interested in the history of technology, this book is likely to be a compelling read.
In addition to the biography, numerous documentaries and films have been made about Jobs, each offering a different perspective on his life and legacy. From the critically acclaimed “Steve Jobs” film directed by Danny Boyle to the more recent “Jobs” starring Ashton Kutcher, these portrayals have contributed to the enduring fascination with Jobs’ story.
