There are many reasons that people might want a small camcorder that can be worn on a helmet or mounted to a vehicles in some way. Tachyon has been offering helmet cams for a long time now and the company has unveiled a new addition to its line today called the Tachyon XC HD camcorder. The camera offers 720p HD resolution at 30 fps and has a high-dynamic sensor for light sensitivity and adaptability.
The camera is waterproof to 100 feet without needing to use an extra case to protect the camera. The camera also has a lock feature to keep the camera from shutting off under extreme water pressure. Other features include a 120-degree wide-angle lens, time-lapse mode, and the ability to record to SDHC cards. The camera ships with several mounts, a remote, and the cables needed. A mount for connecting the camera to a gun is also available. The camera can be pre-ordered now for $179.99 with shipment set for November 1.
