Polaroid have this week taken the wraps off a new tablet for kids which they have developed and equipped with a 7 inch capacitive multi-touch display sporting a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
The Polaroid PTAB750 tablet for kids is powered by a 1GHz processor, supported by 512MB of RAM and includes 8GB of internal memory, with an SD card slot available to extended the memory if required.
The design of the Polaroid PTAB750 tablet for kids has been tweaked to suit children’s needs and is fitted with integrated side and rear rubber bumpers together with protection from liquid spills.
Other features include a 2-megapixel camera, wireless connectivity and the tablet for kids comes pre-loaded with top rated learning Apps and Dr. Seuss & Smithsonian interactive books, as well as the Nook bookstore and reader, and custom web browser with parental controls allowing you to program a safe environment for your children to use the tablet. Polaroid explains:
“The tablet is simple for parents to setup, includes a safe web browser for kids developed by the world-leading browser company Maxthon and parental controls to program a safe environment for children, yet still provide a real tablet experience. Other features includes a music studio that offers many fun options to create audio and music, super fun games for boys and girls, an animated screensaver with lullabies programmed to help children fall asleep while the tablet is charging in its dock and a drawing app to provide children with hours of creative fun and “one-touch” wallpaper changing. A digital accelerometer, built-in speaker, headphone jack, microphone and rechargeable battery are also included. This kids tablet was selected as an innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards HONOREE in the Tablets, e-Readers & Mobile Computing product category.”
