If you can’t remember, T-Mobile Moto X users started receiving the soak test invites for the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update earlier this month, suggesting Motorola might begin the roll out of Android 4.4.2 for the variant.
Recently, Motorola has started rolling out the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the T-Mobile variant of the highly customizable Moto X.
The update is rolling out over-the-air, and brings a number of improvements and bug fixes to the OS, along with the usual Android 4.4.2 goodies, including support from printing documents and images, improved battery life and more. It’s sized at almost 146MB and shouldn’t take too long to download, while installing it will hardly take a few minutes.
Here’s the changelog for the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for T-Mobile Moto X from Motorola:
- Added support for printing photos, Google Docs, GMail messages, and other content via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and hosted services like Google Cloud Print and HP ePrinters.
- Fixed bugs which caused a small number of users to experience shorter battery life after upgrading to Android 4.4.
- Fixed a bug that could cause email services like Microsoft Exchange to experience intermittent delays in data synchronization.
If you’re rocking a T-Mobile Moto X, check your notifications for the magical update alert. If it’s not there, don’t worry as it takes some time to reach all devices. Alternatively, you can manually check for the update as well by navigating to Settings >> About Phone >> System Updates.
