A new pre-alpha gameplay trailer has been released by the development team at Otherside Entertainment providing a first glimpse at what you can expect from the highly anticipated System Shock 3 PC game currently being created. The original System Shock game was first released back in 1994 on PC and Mac offering a single player action adventure developed by Looking Glass Technologies and produced by Warren Spector.
“Critics praised System Shock and hailed it as a major breakthrough in its genre. It was later placed on multiple hall of fame lists. The game was a moderate commercial success, with sales exceeding 170,000 copies, but Looking Glass ultimately lost money on the project. In December 2015, OtherSide Entertainment, a studio founded by former Looking Glass Studios designer Paul Neurath, announced they were developing System Shock 3. Warren Spector, the producer of the first System Shock, announced in February 2016 that he has joined OtherSide Entertainment and will be working on System Shock 3. According to Spector, the narrative will pick up immediately from the end of System Shock 2, with SHODAN having taken over Rebecca’s body.”
