If you fancy wearing a swiss made watch but would rather not spend a fortune, you might be interested to know that the new Swatch Sistem51 watch which was unveiled last month is now available to purchase in the US at select locations for $150.
The Swatch Sistem51 watch is 100 percent Swiss made and features a 90 hour power reserve and swiss movement. From today it is available to purchase in New York and soon San Francisco.
Most watches that are equipped with Swiss movements have been built with some degree of human intervention adding huge costs to the price of the watch. The new Swatch Sistem51 watch has been built by a 100 percent full automated robotic production line.
This new automated production line has caused a few problems for Swatch though, and has forced them to restrict the availability to Switzerland and a few other select locations around Europe and from today the US with a slower than expected worldwide rollout.
However in the US from today the Swatch Sistem51 is now available for $150 from Swatch’s flagship store in Times Square, located at 1528 Broadway and will be available in San Francisco, at the Swatch pop-up store on 101 Grant Street within the week.
