MacBook and tablet owners that are looking for a lightweight and minimalist portable stand may be interested in a new creation by Steve Killian based in Dublin Ireland called the SUAS that is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminium.
The SUAS has been designed to be reversible allowing you to use one stand for both tablet and MacBook hardware for a more ergonomic presentation whilst in use. Watch the video below to learn more from its creator.
The SUAS project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise €20,000 in pledges to make the jump into manufacture and is also supplied with a handy 3-in-1 carry case for pledges of €49 and over.
“It’s easy to say NO to sitting hunched over your device, putting undue strain on your back and neck. Sit up straight, be more comfortable and prevent long-term damage to yourself. We are truly confident that once you use SUAS, you won’t go back to using your laptop without it.
SUAS works with all retina MacBook Pros and all MacBook Airs. SUAS also works with ultrabook style laptops. For more details see our infographic titled “Specs” below.
Please note that the current version won’t work with the slightly thicker non-retina Macbook Pro, though check back soon for updates as this will be the subject of our first stretch goal. “
So if you think SUAS is something your MacBook or tablet use could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge from €40 and help SUAS become a reality.
