If your vinyl record turntable could do with a dedicated speaker, you may be interested in a new high-performance speaker specifically designed to provide a base for turntables aptly named Spinbase. Created by Andover Audio the Spinbase turntable speaker has been launched via Kickstarter this month and is now available to back with earlybird pledges starting from $200 or roughly £155.
“Spinbase is perfect for listeners desiring a compact, yet powerful speaker solution to complete their turntable setup, without the complexity and space demands of extra speakers or cables. “
If all goes to plan worldwide shipping is expected to take place during December 2019 and early bird backers can benefit from a considerable discount off the recommended retail price. Spinbase is available in both white and black finishes and has been specifically designed to eliminate feedback caused when a turntable is sensitive to speaker vibrations. The development team explain a little more about how they have overcome this issue.
“To overcome this age-old issue, our team created Isogroove, an innovative technology that eliminates feedback. This allows Spinbase to be placed directly underneath a turntable, serving as both an elegant platform and a wide-range loudspeaker system. Spinbase accommodates turntables large and small, new and old, with a clean, minimal design that seamlessly matches your favorite make and model. We feature a single knob for unit operation, so Spinbase is easy to use, and easy on the eyes. “
