We have been hearing more information about Sony’s new flagship Android smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z3 over the last few week, and recently saw various photos of the handset.
Now it looks like the Sony Xperia Z3 has appeared at the FCC, the handset comes with the model number DD603, which is a number we previously heard related to the new Z2.
Unfortunately the FCC filing did not reveal any more specifications on the new Sony Xperia Z3, what we heard previously is that the handset would come with a 5.2 inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The Xperia Z3 is rumored to be powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with a clock speed of 2.5GHz, the device will also9 feature 3GB of RAM and various storage options including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
Other specifications on the handset are said to include a 20.7 megapixel Sony Exmor RS rear camera, as yet we do not know which camera sensor will be on the front of the handset, although we can expect at least a 2 megapixel version like the Z2.
The Xperia Z3 will also come with a microSD card slot with supports for 128GB cards, the device will come with WiFi, Bluetooth and Android 4.4 KitKat. We are expecting the new Sony Xperia Z3 to be launched in September, and are looking forward to seeing the device at IFA 2014.
