Sony has announced that they have added the Sony Xperia XZ smartphone to their Open Device Program.
This means that you will be able to build and also flash your own version of Android N on Xperia XZ handsets.
Xperia XZs is the latest addition to Sony’s Open Device Program, enabling you to build and flash your own version of Android N on Xperia XZs devices. You can use our easy-to-follow build guide for instructions on building AOSP for Xperia XZs. You’ll also need to download the necessary software binaries to get started.
If you didn’t know already, the Open Device program is our way to provide access and tools to build and test your custom software on a range of Sony devices.
