A few days back, Sony Russia revealed the price tag of their phablet, the Xperia T2 Ultra, and is said to launch in the country by the end of this month.
For those of you residing in the UK, there’s a piece of bad news for you. It seems the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra will not make its way to the country. Handtec, a UK retailer, has received a word from the folks at Sony, asking them to remove the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra from their online store.
The handset was expected hit retail shelves in the UK by April for around £300 on various retailers, but it seems Xperia T2 Ultra may not make its way to the country.
Sony have decided not to release the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra SIM free in the UK.
We have been informed by Sony Distribution to remove the product from our online store. It was intended to be released around end of April 2014. The device was going to be on sale for around £310.00 inc vat. Handtec only sell the SIM free version we have no information on network stock.
Carphone Warehouse and Clove have also listed the Xperia T2 Ultra on their online store with pre-registration page for people who are interested in the handset. There’s no word from them about any such word from Sony, but for those who don’t know, Sony Xperia T2 Ultra cannot be found on Sony UK’s website as well.
We’ll update you if there’s anything else about the launch of the Xperia T2 Ultra in the UK.
