The Sony Xperia Ion was announced back in January of this year, and AT&T have announced that they will be offering the handset om their network in the US from the 24th of June.
AT&T will be offering the Sony Xperia Ion for $99.99 when you sign up to a new two year contract with the carrier, and the device comes with Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread, although it will also get the Android 4.0 ICS update in the future.
The Sony Xperia Ion is powered by a dual core 1.5GHz processor and it features 16GB of built in storage, there is also a 12 megapixel rear camera which can record full HD video in 1080p, and the camera uses Sony’s latest Exmor R sensor.
It also features a 4.6 inch HD Reality display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, plus LTE, NFC, HD sharing with DLNA, HDMI and Sony’s Bravia Sync.
