Or at least one Sony spokesman makes that pledge, but hey, it’s a start. Especially considering how close Sony was to restating operations of its multiplayer service before they decided to go back to the drawing board. Take your time and get it right this time, Sony. Keeping the service shut for another few weeks probably wouldn’t seem that intolerable, since people haven’t been able to play online since April 20th and are used to it anyway.
But get the service back online only to take it down the next day and you’ll probably be able to see the resulting consumer outrage explosion from orbit. In fact, the worst thing hackers could probably do to Sony right now is get access to their servers again and put PSN back online just so that Sony is forced to take it down again.
