Sony has today announced the arrival of the new mid-range Sony A6400 mirrorless camera. The updated 24.2MP mirrorless camera is fitted with a flipper rear screen and a processor and autofocus system developed originally for the Sony A9 camera. The A6400 arrives in stores during February 2019 priced at $900 for just the body, or $1,350 as the 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens kit.
Sony’s new α6400 is equipped with a 24.2 MP3 APS-C sized image sensor combined with an upgraded BIONZ X processor to provide an all-round camera for all types of shooting conditions. Standard ISO ranges up to ISO 32000 for both still and movie, and is expandable up to ISO 102400 for still images Check out the video embedded below to learn more.
As far as 4K recording the new Sony camera offers internal 4K QFHD: 3840 x 2160 movie recording with full pixel readout and no pixel binning to collect about 2.4x the amount of data required for 4K movies, and then oversamples it to produce high quality 4K footage with exceptional detail and depth.
