Skype has announced that they have released an update version of Skype for Windows, they have also said they will be releasing an update version for Mac OS X later today, full details here.
Yesterday we told you about a problem with Skype, where Skype has stopped working for many users, and they were unable to log in, Skype released a temporary fix which meant that you had to delete a file from your PC or Mac, but this solution has not solved the problem for everyone.
We have received a number of comments and emails from Geeky Gadgets readers from around the world who are still unable to log into Skype with the fix that Skype issued yesterday.
Skype has announced that they are still working on the problem, and they hope to issue a software update later today that will fix the issue, in the meantime they have advised that people should update to the latest version and also try the fix which you can find out more details about here.
Unfortunately this has still not solved the problem for everyone, if you are still having problems, please leave a comment and lets us know your OS and which version of Skype you are using.
As soon as we get some more information on the reported software update which will hopefully fix the problem we will let you guys know.
