Users of Microsoft’s Outlook webmail service who have been patiently waiting for the launch of the new Skype integration into the Outlook.com site to roll out worldwide in a final release.
Will be pleased to learn that the Skype for the Outlook service has now been made available worldwide and brings with it a number of enhancements, tweaks and bug fixes for users to enjoy.
One of the new features rolled out by Microsoft includes the new support for high-definition video calling for PC users as well as adding the obvious ability to enable both video and audio Skype calls directly from the Microsoft Outlook inbox.
If you already have a Skype account you can now link this directly to your Outlook.com subscription. If you don’t already have a Skype account you can now use your Microsoft account and login details to sign up.
Today’s rollout of the Skype Outlook.com integration follows on from the preview service that was rolled out to a number of markets around the world including the US, UK, Germany, France, Brazil and Canada last year.
