
A new version of the Skype desktop client has been rolled out today by Microsoft which provides both Mac users and Windows Preview users with a much improved user interface that includes a number of tweaks, enhancements and refinements.
The Skype for Mac version 7 includes annotated timeline with larger emoticons together with improved layout for text conversations with your Skype contacts.
The latest Skype for Mac software is now available to download for free directly from the official Skype website or you need installed is Mac OS X 10.5.8. The new user interface brings the desktop version of Skype for Mac systems more in line with the mobile offerings and applications which have been released in the past.
New features included within the Skype for Mac version 7 software include a new split screen layout which can be seen in the screenshot above allowing users to see both video and text chats at the same time whilst the full-screen.
