According to a recent report, Samsung has plans to bring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to its entry level and mid range smartphones in 2016.
Samsung’s lower and mid range devices have helped the company maintain its lead against other manufacturers in a number of countries.
Samsung is now looking to bring OIS to a range of lower end and mid range smartphones next year, this should help the company maintain its lead over its competitors is this is a feature that is normally reserved for higher end devices.
Optical Image Stabilization is designed to reduce blur on photos and also helps when taking pictures in low light conditions, it also helps improve videos that are shot on a device which has the feature.
As yet there are no details on which of Samsung’s budget and mid range devices will come with OIS, we can expect to see some of these new smartphones at MWC 2016 in February.
