We recently heard that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 may actually come with a under display fingerprint scanner. Now according to a recent report Samsung has now started development of the firmware for the handset.
According to Sammobile Samsung has now started development of two firmware versions for this years Note 9. The firmware versions are N960FXXE0ARB7 and N960FXXU0ARC5 and Samsung is apparently testing these globally.
This ties in with what they did with last years Galaxy Note 8, although this years firmware has started a couple of weeks earlier than last years ones. Samsung are expected to give this years Galaxy Note 9 a number of upgrades over the current handset.
The device is expected to come with either the Samsung Eyxnos 9810 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 depending on the market, just like the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. We are also expecting the handset to come with at least 6GB of RAM, possibly 8GB.
The handset will come with Samsung’s new 12 megapixel cameras that were introduced with the Galaxy S9. The device is expected to come with a dual camera setup on the back like the S9 Plus. We are expecting Samsung to launch the device some time in August. Samsung will launch the handset before Apple’s new iPhone X handsets which are rumored for a September or October Launch. As soon as we get some more details on the new Galaxy Note 9, we will let you guys know.
