The Samsung S Health app has been available for a while, although the app has only be compatible with Samsung’s range of smartphones and tablets.
Samsung has now released an updated version of its S Health app on the Google Play Store and the device will now work with non Samsung devices.
The Samsung S Health app will now work with non Samsung devices that are running Android 4.4 and above, you can see more information on what else is included in the update below.

Simplified food logging & portion changing
Added a setting feature for screen lock password
Improved location info accuracy during exercise (China)
Added more devices support
– All Samsung smartphones since Galaxy S3
– Non-Samsung Android smartphones
– Tablets and some mobile devices may not be supported. Some functions may not be available based on (regions/service providers/devices). Requires Android OS 4.4 or above.
The latest version of the S Health app from Samsung is now available to download from Google Play.
