Both handsets have similar specifications, although the S6 Edge has a curved display, both handsets have a 5.1 inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Other specifications on the devices include an octa core Samsung Exynos 7420 processor and 3GB of RAM, there are also three storage options, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.
The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge come with Android Lollipop and feature a 5 megapixel front facing camera and a 16 megapixel rear camera.
