One of the major new features of the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone is the included connected Samsung S Pen stylus which has now been equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and provides a wide variety of new features when compared to its predecessors. The S Pen’s Bluetooth connectivity allows it to be used as a remote control for the Note 9, enabling users to manage key functions, such as the device’s camera offering a range of up to 10m.
If you need to give presentations the S Pen can be used to control your slideshows, a simple click or double-click will allow you to play/pause audio, skip to the next track or video, or view the next/previous image in an album or slide in your presentation. You can even utilise the S Pen as a convenient clicker for presenting with the Galaxy Note9 and Samsung DeX. Check out the infographic and video below for a complete roundup of all the new features can expect to enjoy in the latest S Pen stylus.
Samsung is also made available S Pen APIs within the SDK enabling developers to integrate the new 2018 S Pen’s intuitive controls into their applications. “The Galaxy Note9’s S Pen raises the bar with an array of convenient additions, including Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) connectivity, Samsung DeX compatibility, and integration with several fan-favorite Note features. Together, these enhancements offer much greater control over your mobile experience, making it easier to get the most out of everything you do.”
