Samsung is suing Huawei in China over alleged patent infringement related to smartphones. Samsung are alleging that Huawei is infringing on six patents, exactly what these patents relate to have not been revealed.
Samsung spoke to Reuters about the lawsuit between the two smartphone makers, you can see what they had to say below.
“Despite our best efforts to resolve this matter amicably, it has regrettably become necessary to take legal action in order to defend our intellectual property,”.
Huawei has said that it has not received a formal complaint from Samsung and that it will defend itself if necessary.
This new lawsuit could be in retaliation to one that Huawei filed against Samsung in the US and China back in May, Huawei are alleging that Samsung are infringing on 4G patents that the company owns.
