Samsung is rumored to be working on a new tablet dubbed as the Galaxy Tab S, which is said to launch on June 12 in New York. The company has already sent press invites for the event, but that doesn’t mean we’ll not hear about it.
Retailers usually add product listings for popular products, and they often release the expected prices. Recently, a Finnish retailer Multitronic listed the purported Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 on its website, along with a premature price tag.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 WiFi model is listed for €563.90, while the 4G LTE model comes with a €681.90 price tag. There’s also an 8.4-inch Galaxy Tab S, which costs €449.90. If the listed pricing is correct, the new tablets cost a lot more compared to the previous Galaxy tablets. The retailer listed the stock date as June 5th, but is it really the shipping date? Well, it’s highly unlikely since the company is expected to unveil the tablet a week later.
Based on rumors, Samsung Galaxy Tab S will come with a display resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, Exynos 5420 eight-core processor, 8MP rear camera for photos and videos, 2.1MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS/GLONASS, LTE connectivity and should come with Android 4.4 KitKat with Magazine UX on top of it.
We’ll update you as soon as Samsung officially unveils the tablet.
