It’s been a few months since the company released its flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 4, and rumors are already talking about the upcoming Galaxy S6.
According to a new report, the alleged Samsung Galaxy S6 will come with a dual-edge display, something similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge released a few months back.
The information comes from senior analyst Jerry Kang during the last IHS Display conference. Dual-edge means the device will be curved from both sides, offering a similar display as the one introduced with the Galaxy Note Edge. The analyst further mentioned that Samsung wanted to go for the dual-edge display for the Galaxy Note Edge, but the plans changed at the last moment, and it launched with curve on the right side of the display.
Previous rumors hinted that Samsung Galaxy S6 will come with a QHD display sporting a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, but the exact display size is not known yet. Galaxy S4 came with a 5-inch display while the Galaxy S5 came with a 5.1-inch. So, there’s a chance we may get to see a similar display size with the Galaxy S6 as well. It’s also rumored to come with a quad-core Snapdragon 810 processor.
Let’s just take these with a grain of salt. It’s still months away, but you never know.
