Not too long ago, Google released the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, which will also make its way to other devices in the coming months, including HTC, Samsung, Sony, etc.
According to a new report, Samsung’s Galaxy S5 is said to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update by December, which isn’t too far off.
The report didn’t give out an exact time frame if it will roll out to multiple regions at the same time, which is unlikely. Additionally, the update could take a while since it has to be approved by the regional carriers before it makes its way to the devices. Users with unlocked devices may get it earlier than the carrier-branded versions.
There’s no official word from Samsung about the roll out in December, but we’ll update you as soon as they officially confirm it, along with the devices which will get the Android 5.0 Update.
Android 5.0 Lollipop brings plethora of features on board, including a new design language from the search engine giant, Material design, improved performance, lockscreen notifications, support for 64-bit processors, and lots more. It also switches to the ART runtime, and offers better battery life on the handsets.
