Samsung has released the second version of their Samsung KNOX security platform for its Android devices, and Samsung Knox 2.0 is now available on the company’s latest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Samsung Knox 2.0 is designed to provide support for IT departments to implement and manage BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) strategies.
KNOX has been widely deployed by enterprises since it became first commercially available in the market in September 2013,” said JK Shin, President and CEO, Head of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics. “As a result of this rapid adoption, we needed to evolve the Samsung KNOX platform to directly address the ever-changing needs of the enterprise as we demonstrate our commitment to protect and respond to future enterprise mobility and security challenges.”
According to Samsung, some of the new features included in Samsung KNOX 2.0, include improved core platform security, an improved user experience, and more.
Samsung have yet to provide any information on when Samsung KNOX 2.0 will be available for any of their other devices, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
