After countless number of leaks and rumors, Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 7 at a press event in New York.
The new handset comes with an excellent set of specifications, and brings several improvements compared to its predecessor.

Powering a robust ecosystem, it is the ideal device for those who want to achieve more in life,” said DJ Koh, President of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics. “Life moves faster than ever now so we created the Galaxy Note7 to help users get things done more easily wherever, whenever.”
The handset comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display sporting a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels with 518ppi pixel density as well as an octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The handset is equipped with a 12MP camera with optical images stabilization as well as a 5MP front-facing camera. There’s a massive 3,500 mAh battery to make sure there’s enough juice for the phablet. As for the operating system, it ships with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which may be one of the weak points as Google has already announced Android 7.0 Nougat. However, we’re hoping Samsung won’t take too much time to update it to the latest operating system.
Additionally, the all-new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 also features IP68 certification making the handset water and dust resistant. Last but not the least, the new handset brings an improved S Pen offering several new features including the ability to write under water.
The handset comes in Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx color options and will go on sale on August 19th.
