The Samsung Galaxy Europa i5500 is a budget Android smartphone, that comes with Android 2.1 and a range of features. The Galaxy Europa comes with a 2.8 inc QVGA display and has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.
There is a two megapixel camera with a built in LED flash and it is capable of taking still photos and recording video, and the handset is compact and light weighing in at just 102 grams and measuring 56 x 108 x 12.3mm.
Other specifications on the Galaxy Europa include a built in MP3 player, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro USB port, and a 600MHZ processor, there is also integrated WiFi and 3G connectivity.
The Samsung Galaxy Europa has a range of features built in which include Google Maps, Google Mail, YouTube, the Android Market, an FM radio and also Samsung Apps.
The Europa features a range of buttons on the front, which can be used to navigate around the smartphone’s various menus, the display is also a capacitive touchscreen, it does work pretty well.
The built in camera is not bad, don’t expect to get amazing photos from it, but it does the job at taking reasonable photos and video,we would have liked to have seen a slightly better camera.
Overall the Samsung Galaxy Europa is a decent budget smartphone, it has a good range of features, a decent web browser, and you have access to a wide range of applications through the Android market.
One thing that lets it down is the camera, we would have expected something more than 2 megapixels, but then again it is a budget smartphone.
The Samsung Europa will be available in the UK from the 22nd of October on mobile network Three, you can find out more details over at the Three website.
