RIDM is a fitness gadget capable of tracking changes to your body through diet or exercise by analyzing body composition. Boasting a high degree of accuracy (0.94 correlation to DEXA), RIDM is comparable to high-priced body composition scales, such as InBody (0.98 correlation to DEXA). Check out their Kickstarter video below to learn more about RIDM’s unique approach to fitness monitoring.
“With RIDM, our goal is to make accurate body composition analysis (BCA) accessible to everyone. BCA is both more insightful and correlates more strongly with health than body weight, which is simply numbers on a scale. Every person is different. Therefore, every health care need is different. Our hope is that regular insights from RIDM will provide motivation to people in more effectively meeting and maintaining their fitness goals.”
Far more sophisticated than a scale, RIDM categorizes body composition into weight, body fat, muscle mass and skeletal mass. It can even check your body for imbalances while offering a summary report on your body type and suggested lifestyle changes.
RIDM is now available to back via Kickstarter. Limited early bird pledges are available to backers from $49. Expected shipping date is set for October 2018.
