Ricoh has this week taken the wraps off its new Ricoh WG-M1 action camera which is equipped with a 14 megapixel CMOS sensor that makes it capable of recording Full HD video in widescreen 1080p resolution.
The Ricoh WG-M1 is priced at $300 and is now available to pre-order in either orange or black finishes and is equipped with a fast f/2.8 ultra-wide angle 160 degree lens.
The casing of the new action camera has been specifically designed to be of an airtight waterproof construction, enabling users to take the camera underwater to a depth of 10m for up to one hour using the underwater lens protector.
The WG-M1casing also makes the action camera more rugged than most and survivable from drops of up to 2m using its shockproof technology and cold resistance allowing it to endure temperatures of -10°C.
Ricoh has also equipped their new WG-M1 action camera with a high-resolution 1.5 inch colour LCD monitor and the ability to change perspectives with 4 different angle-of-view settings.
