Single use drinking straws are a huge problem the environment, it is estimated that in the United States alone 500 million single use straws are used every single day. Due to their composition the drinking straws are not recyclable and will not decompose and end up polluting the earth for generations to come. To remove the need for single use drinking straws designer Jeremy Smith has created Rain. A reusable drinking straw that can be easily cleaned thanks to its unique two-piece design.
“We’ve spent the last few months designing and engineering the Rain Straw. We have already chosen our factory and have made two separate trips to their facilities in preparation for full scale production. The factory we have chosen is a reputable factory with a strong track record of delivering quality products on time.”
“We take the trust of our backers very seriously, and understand that you are only backing us because you expect a quality product in a reasonable amount of time. Before giving delivery dates of any kind, we evaluate the entire process from design, engineering, tooling, testing, production and shipping. The delivery dates we have selected have been carefully evaluated and selected because of their high degree of achievability.”
Pledges are available from $10 with early bird pledges and worldwide shipping is expected to commence during June 2019.
