Raspberry Pi E-Ink Calendar

Raspberry Pi enthusiasts searching for a unique way to get organised with their daily tasks and appointments might be interested in a Raspberry Pi powered e-ink organiser and calendar created by Zonglin Li. The project can use a variety of different Raspberry Pi mini PCs depending on what you have at hand and will work with a Raspberry Pi 2, 3 or the smaller Raspberry Pi Zero.

Full details are how to create the e-ink Raspberry Pi calendar which uses a 7.5 inch photo frame have kindly been published to GitHub for your convenience and provide full instructions, wiring diagrams and code to help you create your very own Raspberry Pi e-ink organiser.

Raspberry Pi e-ink display

The screen is updated once a day and due to the e-ink screen requires very little power even with the Raspberry Pi mini PC pulling data directly from the Internet. The e-ink screen used in the project Takes the form of the 7.5 inch model from Waveshare that retails for about $50 and provides users with a resolution of 640 × 384 pixels.
