PlayStation 4 owners that would also enjoy watching a little TV from their new next-generation console might be pleased learn that today BSkyB has announced the availability of a new TV from Sky PS4 application.
The PS4 TV from Sky app is now available to download for free and is roughly 60MB in size. But don’t forget as well as owning a PlayStation 4 games console you will also need to be a Sky customer requiring a Sky iD and a Sky Go Extra subscription.
A Sky Go Extra subscription enables Sky customers to stream live and on demand TV to their PlayStation 4 but also enables the ability to download entertainment, movies and box sets to compatible mobile devices and computer systems with support outputs for 720p,1080i and1080p. Although as you might expect Terms and conditions do apply, Sky explains :
“Sky TV customers only. Sky Go Extra subscription required. No extra cost with Sky Multiscreen, otherwise £5 extra a month. Allow up to 24 hours for your account to be activated. 31 days’ notice to cancel. Register up to 4 Sky Go devices.
Concurrent online viewing on 2 devices. Content depends on your Sky TV package. Customers require a Sky HD or Family Bundle subscription to access TV Box Sets. Sky Movies 1 & 2 or Sky Sports 1 & 2 is required for on demand Sky Movies or Sky Sports. Streaming only on ‘PlayStation 3’ and ‘PlayStation 4’.”
