If you’re one of the Pebble Time Steel backers, the company has provided another update regarding the shipping of the wearable device, which is a little behind the schedule.
The company revealed that backers should start receiving shipping information in the first week of August. The smartwatches left the production facility on July 27th and are now making their way to the distribution centers in the United States, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, and Ireland..
Previously, Pebble planned to include the steel band and the smartwatch in a single shipment, but due to delays, it appears the company now plans to ship them in a separate package. Pebble provided an update regarding the whole shipment process and issues, and said:
- All Pebble Time Steel backers will receive a leather band and matching metal band with their watches. The only change is the timing of the metal band delivery, due to the supply issues we mentioned.
- Pebble is covering the shipping costs related to this revised delivery plan.
- If metal band availability improves, we will take metal Time Steel bands and include them with reward watches in one shipment as originally planned, whenever possible.
The company announced the shipping costs related to plan will be incurred by the company, and the backers can expect the shipments to complete by the end of September.
